On October 26th in Valencia, I have been awarded the prize – THE THIRD PLACE AS PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2017, organized by Fotógrafos de boda España (The Wedding Photographers of Spain) and have received it at the Conecta congress, the second edition of the national meeting of many of the best wedding photographers from Spain.

It is an honor to see my name Miguel Onieva with so much talent and good work, and moreover, amazing people.

I would like to congratulate all the colleagues with whom I have shared the podium.

I would also like to thank the organization, the jury, the team of professionals who have helped me with their great dedication, and above all to thank all the couples that trust in my work and in my vision, this award is dedicated to all of you.

The Wedding Photographer Awards contest awards the best photographs of the professionals of the national collective taking into account not only technical aspects such as lighting, composition, and originality.

The judges of the contest are photographers recognized nationally and internationally, and the judges change every four months for every new contest. Among all the thousands of photographs submitted, the jury decides about the winning photographs that are part of the winning collection.

Every year, the professional who has obtained the greatest number of winning photographs from the contests is named Photographer of the Year.

Last year, in 2016 my work was rated within the top 30, in this year 2017 it was placed in third place.

For me, it is a recognition that helps me to continue to work hard, learning and working day after day to be the best version of myself, give 100% in everything I do and to be able to offer that vision to couples who trust in my work to make the photographic reportage of their wedding.
